Editing:
Editing of first 3 chapters with a 45 minute consultation.
Having an editor look over your work before it is published is seen as essential. No book should be published without the input of a professional editor.
One of our professional editors will take a look at your first 3 chapters and offer an assessment on your story. This covers guidance on the opening of the book, basic grammar, spelling, punctuation (in British English), consistency of layout and tense, publishing conventions and, where necessary, structural advice. The Comments function in Word will be used by our editors so that you can make the final changes.
This does not include final page layout, which the printer will do prior to the print run.
The consultation is a telephone consultation when you will be able to talk to the editor directly about your work and discuss its merits and ways of improvement.

Proofreading
A book with even one spelling mistake can lose its credibility. Having a fresh pair of eyes proof read your book before it is published is vital.
Our proofreaders will carry out a final check of your work to ensure is in absolute perfect form. This involves checking for spelling mistakes, typos and ensuring consistency.
Please note; proof reading is a final check of work that is already polished and been through the hands of an editor. This does not include editing sloppy copy nor final page layout, which the printer will do prior to the print run.
